🗽 NYisMyBackyard Tours — Terms & Conditions
1. Booking & Payment
All bookings must be made in advance through the official booking page. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot on the tour.
2. Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cancellations made 24+ hours in advance of the tour start time are eligible for a full refund or reschedule.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the tour are non-refundable.
- No-shows will not be refunded.
In the event of severe weather or unforeseen circumstances, the tour may be rescheduled or refunded at the guide’s discretion.
3. Group Size Requirements
All tours require a minimum of 2 participants to operate and are limited to a maximum of 10 participants per tour.
If the minimum number of participants is not met, NYisMyBackyard reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the tour. In such cases, guests will be offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
4. Tour Participation
Participants are responsible for arriving on time at the designated meeting location. Tours will begin promptly and cannot be delayed for late arrivals.
This is a walking tour. By booking, participants acknowledge their ability to walk for extended periods and take responsibility for their personal health and physical condition.
5. Weather Policy
Tours operate in most weather conditions. Please dress appropriately for the forecast.
If conditions are deemed unsafe, guests will be notified and offered a reschedule or refund.
6. Safety & Conduct
Guests are expected to behave respectfully toward the guide, other participants, and public spaces. Smoking (including e-cigarettes/vaping) is not permitted during the tour.
NYisMyBackyard reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or does not follow these guidelines. No refunds will be issued in such cases.
7. Liability Waiver
By participating in the tour, guests acknowledge and accept that walking tours involve inherent risks, including but not limited to traffic, uneven surfaces, and weather conditions. Participation is at their own risk.
NYisMyBackyard and its guide(s) are not liable for personal injury, accidents, delays, or loss or damage to personal belongings.
8. Changes & Modifications
NYisMyBackyard reserves the right to modify tour routes, duration, or stops due to weather, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances.
9. Photography & Media
Photos or videos may be taken during tours for promotional purposes.
By participating, guests consent to the use of their image unless they notify the guide in advance.
